  1.                    A GOOD DEFENCE AGAINST OFFENCE

  7. It  has  come  to  the  attention of this office that not everyone in the
  8. state's various law enforcement agencies is exhibiting proper sensitivity
  9. in   dealing   with  the  criminologically  afflicted.   To  remedy  this
  10. situation, let us go over the rules again.

  12. We  all know that HANDICAPPED is offensive and thus is no longer correct,
  13. and  that  the term is now PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED.  So why is it that some
  14. state  buildings  still have HANDICAPPED PARKING SPOTS?  The proper term,
  15. as has been explained many times, is VARIANT LOCOMOTION.

  17. We  seem  to  have particular problems with the Legally Exceptional Dept.
  18. (formerly  the Dept.  of Criminal Justice).  The terms convict and inmate
  19. are   no   longer   in  usage.   Instead,  please  use  SPECIAL  CITIZEN,
  20. HORIZONTALLY STRIPED ASSOCIATE or EX-OFFICIO GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYEE.

  22. Remember that solitary confinement is now THE ONENESS ROOM.
  23.    
  24. Numerous  court  cases  have  resulted in a mandate requiring sensitivity
  25. training  classes  for  state  EXECUTIONERS,  or  as they are now called,
  26. RESPIRATORY  ALTERATORS.   To  this  end,  the  term  needle is no longer
  27. acceptable.   It  is  a  DERMA-SURFACE  inserter.  One thing more, POISON
  28. henceforth  is  to  be  called  ANTI-AGING STIMULANT.  Also remember that
  29. guards are PENOLOGY ATTENDANTS.

  33. As  you  know,  we  found  the  titles  Policewoman  and  Policeman to be
  34. offensive;  and  Constable  hardly  less  so.   It  smacked of tradition,
  35. Instead,  State  Proactive  Response  Team must be used by all employees,
  36. Violators will be judicially challenged.

  38. A few new changes that you should be aware of:
  39.  
  40.         Murderer - TERMINATINGLY INCLINED
  41.         Arsonist - PYRO-STIMULATED
  42.         Strangler - MANUALLY COHESIVE
  43.         Embezzler - DOCUMENTATIONALLY INVOLVED  
  44.         Pickpocket - INTER-GARMENTATIONALLY DEXTROUS
  45.         Parolee - INCARCERATED HABITANT EMERITUS

  47. The  Government's  Office  for  Finding  Offence  finds  the  practice of
  48. actually  arresting  anyone to be particularly offensive.  But if it must
  49. be done, it should be done with sensitivity.

  51. Approach the alleged perpetrator and politely inform him of her/his legal
  52. rights.   If  physical manipulation of external persuasive methods are in
  53. evidence  (such  as  guns,  knives,  tire  tools or machetes) and you are
  54. forced  to  exhibit cohesive constraints, at all times refrain from using
  55. dehumanizing terminology.  These include:

  57.         Drop it                            
  58.         Freeze
  59.         Come out with your hands up        
  60.         Spread'em         
  61.         Make my day
  62.    
  63. Such  anti-social  behaviour  reflects badly on you and may cause anxiety
  64. for the psychopathically driven.

  68. In  your All Points Bulletins, avoid racism, sexism, ageism, heightism or
  69. weightism.   Therefore,  do  not include in your wanted description race,
  70. sex, age height or weight.

  72. Giving   out  the  fugitive's  prior  record  exhibits  an  anachronistic
  73. influence  on  your  part.  You may, however, reveal the person's name so
  74. long  as  it  does not reflect ETHNIC INSENSITIVITY.  And the term "armed
  75. and dangerous" has been changed to "COMBATIVELY PERSUADED."

  77. One  last  reminder:   The  term  politically  correct  has been made the
  78. posteriorly  expansive of so many jokes by the insensitively defiant that
  79. we   no   longer   use   it.   From  now  on,  it  is  SOCIO-ECONOMICALLY
  80. MULTICULTURALISTICALLY VIABLE LINGUISTICS.

  82. Failure  to  use the proper terminology could result in your professional
  83. out-focus or even residential restraint for up to five years.
